The one-hundred-and-forty-first episode of PolyCast, "Can Always Speculate", features regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick, "Makahlua", Philip "TheMeInTeam" Bellew and Lisa "qnl" Bang with returning guest co-host Jonah Falcon; it has a runtime of 59m59s; listeners are encouraged to rate the show on iTunes and follow on Twitter.

The summary of topics is as follows:

- 03m13s | News (Part 1 of 2)
Coverage galore on the offical announcement that the first Civilization V expansion pack, Gods and Kings, is set for release this spring. Through analyses and sleuthing alike, its following aspects are discussed first: religion; espionage (15m02s); diplomacy (19m40s); civilizations (22m34s); buildings (25m06s) and combat (26m44s).
- 28m47s | Miscellaneous
Observing CivV leaders' reactions to defeat (recorded for Episode 111); counting down a Top 10 things "Learned About the World" through the game (32m39s; recorded for Episode 129); some continued disbelief that females play Civilization games (35m01s; recorded for Episode 134), and critiquing CivV's difficulty levels in correlation to the Artificial Intelligence (40m44s; recorded for Episode 136).
- 47m19s | News (Part 2 of 2)
Considering the stated release timeline for CivV: G&K, and a possible sneak peak of some modified CivV settings to come following an accidental then reversed patch rollout (50m17s).

- Intro/Outro | Miscellaneous
Citing a classic cartoon's theme song, on one of the regular co-hosts being a guest on the TD Gaming Podcast, and the lesson of forgiveness before permission.

Recording live before a listening audience every other Saturday, PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy; sibling show RevCast focuses on Civilization: Revolution, ModCast on Civ modding and TurnCast on Civ multiplay.

Nice show are you guys as interested how they are going to handle the diplomacy in civ 5 god and kings and will you enjoy it if it will stay the same ?

about the leaders reaction to defeat:

My most anoying one is that from washington saying :The day...is yours. I trust you will be merciful in your triumph.
Say someone who conquered there hole continent and I wiped him out right dude

And bismark well he act like a can't even look me in the eye what a jurk

My favorite one would be arabia saying I will get his pallace :
have won, congratulations. My palace is now in your possession, I ask that you look after the peacocks.

Oda is my second favorite bowing down before me like a samurai and admitting defeat

Thanks for pointing out the reaction to leaders defeat thread.
Good show all around.

Yay, my "Learned about the world" was in there!

My favorite "defeated" is Bluetooth, but I think he came after that thread had been made. This video has all of the "declaration of war" and "defeated" in the game (except Sejong): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPh1gjuQw7k

Great speculations about G&K, there was information in there I hadn't heard of yet :goodjob:

Nice show

Yes and no respectively. Based on what we already know about G&K already though, diplomacy just can't be the same.

about the leaders reaction to defeat:
I'll echo Harun as being my favourite quote-wise.

Topics look awesome, especially the G&K speculation.:goodjob:
:king: -- hope the listen lived up to the expectation!

Thanks for pointing out the reaction to leaders defeat thread.
Good show all around.
Welcome, and thank you kindly respectively.

Yes re: arrival of Bluetooth (and yes, I thought of the technology first before the Harold still even in the context of this discussion).

Great speculations about G&K, there was information in there I hadn't heard of yet :goodjob:
:cooool: -- when we can inform as well as entertain, all the better.
