After buying in to early access of the new Master of Orion reboot, I have been incredibly impressed with how they are handling it. It really is a stark contrast to Firaxis/2K and what I've experienced with the last few major releases.

They have not only solicited feedback/bug reporting, but they appear to be acting on it with a very short turnaround. There is a "Bug Report" button right in game...

They are keeping the public informed of their schedule and what to expect. A great example is their post last week that they won't be releasing a build this week as they are ramping up for the Phase 2 of EA in the next couple of weeks. One poster said "Thanks, now I can plan my weekend." which is exactly what I was thinking.

And I haven't even mentioned the game. It's already in good shape (minus a couple of glaring things that obviously aren't finished) for the first couple of weeks of EA. I already can't put it down.

I'm thinking this will fit in with your "How to fix the 4X genre" topic. As you have done with some games in the past, I would suggest you touch on the development of this game. It's shaping up to be a great one.
