Success depends upon your measure. The seventy-seventh episode of PolyCast is now netcasting. "Had to Refrain" features regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick, Makahlua and Philip "TheMeInTeam" Bellew with returning guest co-host Tony "GarretSidzaka" Kiehl and first-time guest co-host "oyzar".

The summary of topics is as follows:

- 02m16s | Miscellaneous
The intent and execution of the "Game Studies: Personality and Gaming Preferences Questionnaire" for a university graduate program.
- 12m18s | Senate
When do you build a Granary in your capitol in Civilization IV, what to do with your first Great Spy unit (CivIV: Beyond the Sword), choosing State Property or focusing on Corporations, Great People Points: overrated or underrated, and questions about drafting.

- Intro/Outro | Miscellaneous
On the CivIV: BtS Multi-Team Demogame on Civilization Fanatics Center, artificial personalities and their predictors, and discovering goodies on a mine

PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy. A nominee in the "Best Produced" and "Gaming" categories of the 2008 Podcast Awards, sibling show ModCast focuses on Civ modding and RevCast focuses on Civilization: Revolution.

As always, enjoy.

Good episode - but I must say that I am missing Imran (:shhh: - don't tell him).

Re spying - I'm playing an pbem game (nothing new there) with some Realms Beyond people where I built the Great Wall. My first spy was spybombed against my Northern human neighbour. I have only used it once offensively (stole Guilds) but the passive benefit as well as the huge increase to their spying costs (about 60%) is really working out well - total visibility into his cities.

Please note that this is a recorded competitive game so if you post anything there - watch your spoilers.

The other thing you should discuss is the end of the civ demo game at Poly (won by Realms Beyond!). A really good history is available - put together by Sullla - from the winning teams point of view.

Edit: I meant to include a reference to this post regarding globe powered drafting.

Well, that would probably be best discussed on the show coming from that individual himself. :D I've added him to my list for future guesting considerations.
