Positioning of Shields

I may be a bit slow, so tell me if this has already been tried, but I find it rather amusing (although it negates the possibility of a proper game) to go into the units.gif and position the shields in such a way as they are completely hidden. In some units it is not possible, and in many others a bit is still showing but I'm sure it's possible to position them all eventually so as they are all hidden. Of course a backup must be created of the units.gif. It's paticularly fun if you're at war with more than one civ, because you never know who you are killing / being killed by. Utterly useless of course, but it amuses me. :crazyeyes:

Feel free to zip & post your units.gif... I'm not a graphics person, and have not tried that, LOL!

Wouldn't it be possible just to change the "shield icon" in one of the graphics files to nothing, make the shield pink?
