Post Reply/Subscribe

It appears that when you use the quick "Post Reply" box, it automatically subscribes you to the thread. Is there any way I can change this behaviour, or should I just use the "reply" or "quote" button?

I use the quick reply button often and it doesn't subscribe me to threads. So it must be something to do with an option on the user cp...

Hmm ... turns out I had "Use 'Email Notification' by default?" set to yes. Must have fat fingered that recently.
