Preorder questions....

So, I remember when I bought Civ V (one of the first games I ever bought on CIV), I needed a sort of key/password.... I preordered G&K and am wondering... will Steam email us a password to enter? or do we just download the game and play as soon as it's available?

Huh? I'm guessing you meant that you had to create a Steam account for Civ V? If you already have a Steam account (which you do, since you have Civ V.....), you won't need another, obviously. If you bought G&K off of Steam, it's not very difficult: whatever you purchased will download pretty much the second you put in your credit card info and all that jazz. If you preordered it elsewhere, you might get a code enter into Steam to download it, but that's it basically. Not very complicated...

If you didn't buy CiV through Steam originally, you were probably given a code to enter in order to activate your purchase on Steam. If you get G+K through an outside source again you'll probably get another such code (or may already have gotten it), but if you bought directly through Steam you won't and will be able to download the game as soon as it becomes available.

Ah... yes Gintoki, this is exactly what happened. I bought CIV VANILLA from an outside source (i think it was to get Spain/Inca preorder bonus), but prepurchased G&K from Steam. Good to know I'll be good to go Monday night, cracked out with some energy drinks by my side.
