Hey! I just finished my first recording of a Civ V game + commentary. I'm playing as Monty on Immortal with an Oval map and standard time/size. I'll upload the parts daily to a playlist, in order to complete another game by the time the first is fully uploaded. The video should be in 1080p (new to YouTube), but my microphone is quite shoddy. I've attached the initial save below if you'd like to show me up (and that should be quite easy ). Let me know how I can improve both in game and as a video maker!

I had used a awesome microphone/headset from razer originally but alas it picked up EVERY sound in the room and outside too so my first recording was filled with white static noise.

I Finally bought a Blue Yeti microphone from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Microphones-Yeti-USB-Microphone/dp/B002VA464S

Check it out and consider what is going wrong with your initial setup before buying a new one. They Blue Yeti will let you record only what is in one direction if needed or multiple if you like.

Look over the pictures on the left of the main one to see it in use.

You probably will not need a pop filter unless your soft spoken like myself and need the mic to be closer to you mouth.
