I tried to make a screenshot of a scene in a movie I was watching :scan: on my computer (by pressing the Print Screen button), but when I pasted it in Paint it turned out to be a black screen . I've also tried to make the screenshot with my media player not on full screen mode but I still had a black hole where the video scene should have been. Also tried first pressing pause and then making the screenshot: still a black hole. I've even tried different mediaplayers: still no result.:(
So my question is: Does anyone know how to make a screenshot of a scene in a movie/video-fragment??? Should I do something else than Print Screen? Or should I not use Paint but Paintshop Pro or so?

Maybe you could look for a program where you can grab a frame and save it as a file? In Pinnacle Studio, which I use for video editing, it' possible to grab a frame from a source and add it to the movie, but haven't tried saving it as a file.:)

The problem is that the player is sending the picture straight to the video card (overlays) without the involving the OS in any way, and I don't know of any screen capture program that can grab this sort of image.
Unless you're prepared to turn off all video hardware acceleration every time you want to take a screenshot (not recomended) the best thing to do is find a player that has a screen capture option. I guess you're using WMP which I don't think does screen captures.
