Is there any way to set the default priority of the game? I always have to set it to high to get it to run, but for some reason the game automatically resets to "Below Normal" on restarts. Is there any way to stop this?
The best way would to write a simple .bat command. Instead of opening the game using the Civ4 shortcut just open the batch program with a 'set to high' command, ie. start /HIGH notepad.exe.
Apparently it switches between normal and below normal when you maximise / minimise / it has focus / loses focus. So when you're actually playing, it should be working OK.
