Problem downloading new patch

Hi Guys

Can anyone help, went to download the patch using the in game method of Advance the check for updates. Tells me there are none, and have tried deactivating norton that i have on it.

Any suggestions?

I'd suggest a firewall is blocking you? You can get the patch from civfanatics (front page) and install it that way.

You'll probably get the 1706 error (no valid source) but just click past that and it all works.
