C2C SVN Download, seeking help setting up in Linux, please

Hello, everyone.

It's been a minute since I have been here, and in that time I have switched from Windows to Linux. I have been running another, possibly outdated mod with the Civ4 BTS game (Realism Invictus), and have been keeping an eye on this mod. I read that the performance has improved significantly and bugs and crashes have been significantly reduced. I promised myself to revisit the mod when certain issues have been resolved and, from what I read, they are much better. So...

My problem is I do not know how to download the C2C SVN versions using a Linux OS. I have tried to find something to help on this forum but, so far, what I have found has not been much help.

Does anyone have instructions on how to set the C2C SVN up on a Linux (Ubuntu) system? Or a link to where to find them?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Changed title to reflect I was seeking help on this matter. Realized original title was accidentally misleading. My apologies for that mistake.

Again, thanks in advance for any help toward relaunching C2C in my Civ 4 BTS game!

SVN command:
Code:
svn co https://svn.code.sf.net/p/caveman2cosmos/code/trunk

My location of the Mods directory:
Code:
/home/paul/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/2K Games/Firaxis Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete/Beyond the Sword/Mods/Caveman2Cosmos

I use wine-dev version 9.15 to run Civ4 & C2C fullscreen on Debian stable:
Code:
/opt/wine-devel/bin/wine Civ4BeyondSword.exe

At one point I may have followed the instructions here to change some settings with winecfg:
https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=10158

Note that Civ4 from Steam also works out of the box on Linux. Then the Mods directory is in /home/paul/.steam/common/...

cobbaut,

Thanks for the help on this matter. The instructions worked without a hitch and the mod is working well. I( have been playing around with the C2C mod a bit (and ran into a few questions about it that need to be posted elsewhere), but otherwise, smooth sailing so far.

Thanks again for the help!

P. S. Not sure if any mods are reading this thread, but I think these instructions might perhaps be put into a pinned post somewhere? Not sure how many people run Linux these days, but these would be a big help to those who are). Just a thought
