problem in loading saved games

hello everyone
i new here and yesterday i jst started to play civ 4
my problem is this: i can't load saved games
in the single player menu i choose load and when i am chosing what to load and do double-click its go back to the single player menu without loading
i am playing with the 1.00 version

Load the V1.52 Patch, if still issues,post your Dxdiag here with symptoms post patch

(its likely games created before V1.52 will not load correctly, start new games post patch to check if all is well)

but i sucseed all i have to do was to save in the game dir folder
now i have bigger problem the game crashes
