Problem loading normal games after getting DLC?

Is anyone aware this is an issue?

I've been told I need to move the DLC files/folders out to load vanilla games? Is this true? If so, how? Hard enough to find civ's root directory!

I also bought some more DLC during the sale, and haven't been moving it out for GMR games --> have had no problem loading vanilla games... have moved DLC around in the past, but as long as the Mongolia DLC is in place never had a problem loading a vanilla game

also fyi: for my system (Windows 7 64-bit), DLC folders live in the Steam folder in the Program Files (x86) directory, in Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/sid meier's civilization v/Assets/DLC, for moving things out you can pop relevant DLC folders in a holding directory, just make sure to move them back to the same place or the game won't detect them

Yeah, I think it may well just have been that. I didn't know about the Mongolia thing. Since putting that back, no issues yet. It must've been a GMR glitch / corrupt save. Hopefully it works when we come back to the point where we got stuck. Thanks for the replies.
