Hi, I recently started working work MODs and when I start playing them after 20 minutes or so my Civ4 closes and my computer goes to desktop. No error messages or anything. I noticed that this happens during the game when I am using pretty much any mod. I am currently using 1.61 and the game without a mod works fine... I did notice however that when I play sevomod, nothing happens, it works fine except that loading the game takes forever cause the mod is so massive. Anyway, I tried to see when in the game it freezes and I found out that it does at certain points, where something must happen, but I dont know what. Cause when I reload the game on that same spot, I get the problem. I tried deleting some civs right before the problem and it usually works, but then the same thing happens to a different civ later. So I tried to play the game by myself on a map and the problem happened but I can't tell why, I wasn't getting any new techs or units or building a city. I don't understand, what could this be?

I don't know. If this happens with a single mod, perhaps there's a bug in the mod. If this happens consistently with all mods... well...
- Perhaps you installed the mods to wrong folder? I think they belong to C:\program files\firaxis games\civ\mods (and not under Documents and Settings).
- Perhaps the mod is working under a different version of the game (e.g. mod is for 1.52; you patched to 1.61, etc.). Solution: patch the game, get the latest version of the mod.
- Perhaps something else is wrong.

If it is the mod that is patched on a wrong version... how would I fix that... I am making a mod and thats the one with a problem, but not only that, it happens in other mods as well except sevomod, that I've seen so far... but I know sevomod is updated, I can't be sure of the other ones... how do i update I mod?

You download a new version from the place where you have gotten the first one. I guess. Or contact the author.
