problem v1.29

when I have downloaded the patch I try to acess civ3.exe and the opening image of the tower thingy comes up then my computer waits for a while and then just removes the picture and nothing happens.

What system are you trying to run it on? Has the system completely locked-up? Any error messages? Did it work pre- v1.29f?

Need more info if possible.

no error messages just back into windows ME and i know what you'll all say about ME but its never played up before and by system do you mean the specs of the machine or what version of windows i use?

oh and the only version i had before was the initial game version 1.07 which is what was there when i bought the game.
