Problem when meeting another civ

So I was playing a new single player game (first game since australia patch) as germany and I meet another civ and it doesn't play the video but rather does this. all the interface is gone but I can move the map, select the city (which goes into the city screen without any interface), and I can press exit and go to options, but I can't save the game

I guess it has a problem with loading the video, but I don't know how to fix it.

I tried this out with another civ, and got the same result the first time I met someone, so it doesn't have anything to do with the civ your playing, just the video

I have the same problem. I tried deleting my files and reinstalling but that did not work.

I disabled my cqui mod and it fixed the problem. Hope you have something similar.

I had this problem and reloaded the same save with CQUI disabled but it persisted. I've seen youtube videos without this problem and this also has only happened on my laptop but not my desktop.

I had this issue earlier.

Solution:
1. Delete your CQUI installation (or move the directory if you want)
2. Open Civilization VI in your Steam Library
3. Click "Browse the Workshop"
4. Scroll down to (or search CQUI) and "Subscribe" to "CQUI (weekly)"
5. Enjoy

The reason the issue persisted is that all DLC in use at the creation of the savegame is automatically re-enabled when you load it.
