I've been experiecing a weird problem with my battery for some minutes now. If I physically move my laptop, with the AC mode on, the icon indicating that I'm now operating with that mode will start to appear for every move I make with it, even if it's a small one movement. I unpluged and switched to battery mode, and the same thing happened, and in the 2nd movement the pc shut down. Now that I think about it, it had already went off a week ago, when I switched to battery mode and picked it to move to another place. At the time I didn't give it much importance.
I'm thinking it might be a problem of "miscontact in the battery terminals" (I don't the expression in english, I hope you understand it :( ). I can't open it toverify the battery now, because I'm not at home, and don't have a screwdriver here. Anyone has a sugestion to what might be and solutions, cause I'm getting a little worried here. Thanks.

Well, I understand what you mean with miscontact, and it sounds like that could be a problem.

I used to do like you and just disconnect the laptop while it was running, but I started having problems - my network card turned itself off and I had to send it in for repair to get it working again (it happened again, but I got it working by connecting a modem cable to it, because the modem and network card is the same).

When I got it back they said that I should always turn the computer off before pulling any wires connected to it. Maybe that's not good for the battery either.:)
