Problem with starting a Lan game

Hi everyone. Got to say, awsome mod. But I can't seem to get it to work on a LAN.

I have a home network with 2 computers on it. With vanillia Civ 4 and Warlords I am able to play LAN games just fine. But when I try and run FFH2 I am unable to see any available games regardless of which computer hosts.

Any help would be appreciated.

I was unable to find an answer in the Multiplayer thread or the FAQ so I don't know if anyone can help.

Both computers are running the same patch version of the mod. However, the game is installed into C:\Civilization on one computer and the default on the other computer.

use direct IP or hamachi

disable your antivirus and firewall(for lan,& maybe hamachi)

I just figured I only needed Hamachi for playing online not for a LAN, and I figured that if LAN didn't work, and Gamespy that direct IP wouldn't either.

hamachi is the cheat around any networking problem
