Problem with Win 2000

I'm feeling very stupid, but I don't understand why Civ 2 don't go with Win 2000. Wich is the reason and the solution ???? Someone can help me ? Thanx

Civ 2 Classic was programmed a long time (1996?) before Win2000 so I think it's not optimised for running in Win2000. Unfortunately I don't know of any way around this.
But Civ3 is just around the corner so ......

You can run it with Win2K. First download the latest Indeo drivers, I would search Yahoo for that. Then go to Microsofts Windows 2000 Compatibility page and download the compatibility patch. Then it all works. I did it and everything was fine.

I can't seem to find the patch you are reffering too. I did a search for Microprose/Civilization II, but the microsoft page returned no results. Any advise?

I don't think it's needed for CivII, but absolutely a must-have for us w2k-ers.
