Problems installing DirectX 9

Whenever I try to install it i get the message "The software you are installing has not passed windows logo testing to verify its compatibility with windows XP...this software will not be installed. Contact your system administrator" I have no idea why its giving me this and theres no "Install Anyway" option.

Any Suggestions?

You need to be the administrator of your computer in order to install it. If you don't have admin access, then you can't.

Hmm... are you doing the install through the Windows Update window? If not, try it through that way... if so, then I really don't know - you'll probably have to search their FAQ.

hmm ... exactly which version # is it?
did you download it when it was still in beta?

anyway, i don't think there is any game currently on the market that requires dx9. why the hurry?
