Hi all,
I tried multiplayer Civ 4 for the first time with my dad yesterday (internet mode). I didn't really know what I was doing so maybe I configured it wrong. Here's what happened.
-I picked Terra (where all civs are supposed to start on one continent)
-I just wanted me, my dad and the AI so I picked India for me, left one slot open for dad and selected AI for all the others
-I launched
We started playing and played until about 450 AD--and there were no other civs but us! And tonnes of barbarians.
Another strange thing was that I couldn't get the diplomacy screen open between me and dad. This was especially annoying because I accidently hit alt-click on his name and declared war on him, and I couldn't figure out how to make peace!
Another weird thing: dad chose France but got Germany--except that his leaderhead was Louis XIV!
It was really quite annoying and we ended up just quitting. What did I do wrong?
