Problems with sound

HI!

i just installed a Geforce Radeon 9250 video card
but i can't see the film at the start - it runs as a frame by frame alought i can hear the sound track

when i run MP3's it is sound fragmented ...

please help me

cause when i installed an updated version of the sound driver i got a windows installer error

what on earth it got to do with anything ?

Verify your video, audio, and chipset drivers are correctly installed. That done, if the symptom persists, do a clean uninstall then fresh installation of Civ4 + patch 1.61. The readme (linked in "patch & update" atop the forum) has links to most hardware sites. The clean uninstall is described in other posts you can search.
If the problem persists attach your dxdiag.txt and the specs for your computer to this thread. Someone may see something amiss.

My sound always stutters on the intro, my cousin has exactly the same computer as me, he's gotta a loada crap on his though, like kazaa and all the rubbish that comes with that. Civ on his computer ran fine when i played it, only played a medium sized map though, but the sound was fine.

When i play mine its nowhere near as smooth, my intro stutters and new Game CD's take ages to read. the only difference is i've rebooted my computer a few times. Maybe i lost something when i rebooted?

Well, a week after i published this message my computer crashed and i couldn't access the web - not to mention playing.

now, i got a new one - and god know what was the problem in the previous computer but with this one i can hear audio.
