Ok, I've got a TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L532B and I was having this same problem. I did a few dell online chats and got no where then I called and a guy game me this link.....

Its a driver for the drive that fixes the problem. I downloaded, ran, rebooted and it works perfectly now. No need for a new drive.
