Perhaps it is time for new laws here, I encourage us to change them.
But it is not appropriate for the judiciary to make new laws, that is the right of the people, not the court, and that is very clear in our constitution.
OT: Actually the USSC does not make new laws at all, but when they correct the mistakes of courts below them, that sometimes causes a different interpretation of the law itself, or an elimination of parts of a law, without adding to the law.
If the citizens simply voted to get the issue overwith, then I think that is sad, but I don't see any evidence of that, and a quorum was reached, the issue was decided, and it is not our right to know why a citizen voted the way they did.
Lets stay focused on the bigger picture. A properly discussed issue, and we all know it was discussed to death, was put to a vote, a quorum was reached, and the a choice was made by the people.
I am still missing the argument here that would justify overruling our constitution. This was a valid vote, and the people have spoken.
What justification is there for ignoring the will of the people?
