You are right, I'm afraid. But this is the best system we have now. To have a truly "democratic" system we would need to force every citizen to attend turn chats and vote in them. But of course being democratic may mean they can choose not to vote... The most democratic is Athenian democracy, followed by representative democracy, of which our system is a subset.

And you are right that an Athenian democracy is beyond our grasp. However, by removing the turn chats, we come one step closer to a representative democracy.

Boy, u guys are fast!

Please name an official that is under investigation or close the investigatory portion of this thread.

OK, unless there are any objections, I agree that this investigation should be closed.

Edit: however, I am of the opinion that a minority of citizens with a different view than the majority has caused (in this case) a decision to be taken against the wishes of the majority. And I feel this is a fault of the system, not of any particular person.

By removing turn chats, we move 1 step towards a monarchy. We should probably encourage more people to attend turn chats. However, there is no perfect system.

Kings are not elected. Presidents are. Also, our president will be taking instructions from the cabinet (effectively the legislative branch). That is very much like a representative democracy.

I don't think turn chat attendence is on the rise. I see about the same number of people, and most of the same names in each chat log.
