Purposely screwing up games.

I've been on a SimCity 4 bender for a few months right now, and was talking with my roommate about it the other day... she likes destroying cities too, as does nearly everyone I've talked to about the game. I never destroy my cities intentionally! With all the work I put into them, why on earth would I want to see them destroyed? She said "well, you don't save", but even then, I don't get any pleasure out of watching volcanoes grow out of the middle of my central business district. My disasters are when I inadvertently cut power or water by destroying a neighbor connection, and not solving the problem quickly enough to keep the pissed-off citizens from moving out. I lost about 70% of a huge population that way a few weeks ago and had to revert to a save from hours before because it was impossible to recover from the financial ruin. :( Not my idea of fun!

Point: you all are nuts.

'Cause it's awesome to watch.

Watching the city burn down was great. Or get hit with floods and tornados. Another fun one from the debug menu in SC2K was mass riots. Unstoppable wave of rioters who wound up burning down the entire city.

Now, I'm going to go install SC2K and get to work.

I kill off annoying hostages, VIPs, NPCs, etc. often. I blow up my creations. I ruin game saves with cheats and glitches. I sometimes make life hard for my team.

Speaking of Simcity, here's a collection of my 4 best cities for SC2000. You can 'purposely screw them up' at your leisure, but that would inevitably be after you've admired their awesomeness ;)

Have any screenies? I don't wanna dig for my SC2K disc. :undecide:

Okay, but it's not really going to show some of them off very well.

I love the third one. :)

Thanks, but stand by. The screenies are being replaced by better versions.

first half life game - i like to stand in the beam just before you put in the crystal which causes the resonance cascade, kills me but oh well. also i like to noclip and then drop from high points in the level.

civ 3 - i like disbanding the settler and worker and just having a king unit roaming around for a bit.

mercenaries - blow up the tallest building with me standing on it

Oh yeah, in RON, I once nuked my own army before it was about to win.

I play the Sims solely to see how many ways I can kill off the characters. :p

SimCity 2K.... ah, disasters. It's fun to see how many you can get. One time I destroyed an entire city with fire except a four-block island with 2 houses, a water pump, and a wind power generator. :)

SimCopter, I would open up large city, use superpowermultiply cheat and reduce visibility and ram the copter against all kinds of buildings until it died.

I like that second idea.
