Put me out of my misery..

I've had two games with civfanatics people and both got the jump on me. They ended up being able to kill me rather easily but chose not to. Instead they just barricaded me while they started to destroy every other civ player and such giving me an absolutely boring game.

So I quit.. Sorry but I had absolutely no chance of winning and you guys should have killed me...

I admit the loss and lets start a new game! Please put me out of my misery instead of blockading me or such.

Well I did that yesterday in one game, so I'm not sure if it was me. But there is a reason for that. Doing that allow you to block the access of those resources to your city, so it is matter of time before you not going to able to make you city grow or to train warriors. Blocking forest is a good strat because the city is unable to train warriors at normal speed and that will give a huge advantage to the attacking part, also give you 50% defense because of the forest.
Try to attack those units before they reach fortification, otherwise you will be in big trouble.
