PYL Bullpen

Sorry that I havent gotten another edition of this out, I am hoping to have time this weekend. I am considering the twist on the format we discussed earlier, same map, same starting location, different leaders to choose from. I am thinking of going with the IND leaders for the game, too, and I will give you a hint up front, our starting spot wont be the only IND leader in the game! Cant make the Wonders that easy, now can we. For an extra twist, at least one of the "picks" is likely to pop up elsewhere on the map. That should be cool, I think, say you take Louis, instead of Stalin, and Stalin ends up your neighbor, but if you take Stalin, your neighbor is De Gaulle, and if you take De Gaulle, it might be Louis next to you! Should make for some interesting games, I think. Also planning to use the Tectonics map for this one, loving these maps in the current MC and NC games, and it will definitely be v3.17, although rolo assures me the WB files are ok to play in any version, so if you havent upgraded, you still should be able to play.

Here are the leaders I am considering:

Louis
Stalin
De Gaulle
Roosevelt
Bismark

Plus one more. I kind of hate to use HC, I just think he is overpowered, so maybe Ramesses? Qin? Augustus? Not really sure yet, so any input would be welcome.

I'd say Augustus; Imperialistic has some interesting synergies with the Great Wall and the Great Lighthouse, depending on the map. The forum's also nice if you're using Wonderspam for your Great People.

Augustus is barely less overpowered than HC. I vote either Qin or Ramesses.

I'll probably play the least favored leader again because that's more fun.

I dislike the idea of same start position, because what I like about this is finally playing that fantastic AI start. But I suppose I'm willing to try. If we're doing it that way Huayana should be in for easy mode, since he prolly won't be in the game.

Also, include Augustus!

Augustus, De Gaulle, Stalin, Qin, Bismarck, Roosevelt, Rammeses, Huayana.

I'm still yet to actually play out one of these PYL games :(

If your looking for not so overpowered leader I would go with Qin out of the three mentioned. Although he's still a great leader.

I think you want to keep Augustus and Huayna out, so Qin or Ramesses would imho be the best additions.

Um, you guys do realize that I have to create a separate WB save for each leader, right?

I do kinda like the idea of having 6 "Picks" and the other 3 mixed in as opponents though. Would make getting the Wonders challenging, thats for sure. I do want a few unknown opponents though, one minor drawback with the regular format is that each player already knows who all his opponents are. I think that even in future "normal" PYLs, I am going to have a couple unknown AIs mixed in with the 6 choices.

Actually, no, I forgot.. Sorry about that.
But maybe your 6 pick idea is the way to go, leaving Ramesses, Augustus, and HC to the AIs since they can't abuse them the way a human does. However, more than 8 AIs will get a bit... crowded..

Hi all! I made it happen since Bleys told me I could! Every IND leader except Louis made the cut in this one, although if you play as Roosevelt be prepared for a  situation - I took some liberties with him ;).
