i've got civ4 and warlords installed but i'm not having any luck with opening bts it worked fine on my other computer but not on this one. i brought another one in case the disc was faulty but even the new one comes up with the python problem when i try to play the game. civ4 and warlords play ok but not bts anyone got any suggestions please.

I suggest You should reinstall the whole game and download 3.19 patch manually if this not works You could reinstall windows (if You use it anyhow

) Also could You please give us Your computer specs and platform ?all of the civ 4 games have been re-installed but beyond the sword is the only one thats refusing to work. i even brought another copy in case there was a problem but that was the same. worked fine on the old computer xp but having the 'failed initializing python' with beyond the sword on this computer running win7. yes i have downloaded and installed the patch.

It seems like compatibility issue but I'm baffled (and everyting works fine on XP). The only thing that comes to my mind is trying to install civ 4 complete edition. (Don't know what edition You might have). You might always try Tech support but I don't know if Win 7 is supported. Sorry I couldn't be much of help here.
