I will try to update things every couple of days so you know your submissions have been received.

I will list new submissions separately at the top and then a complete alphabetical list of all submission to date, so it will hopefully be easy for you to locate your status.

I have not opened or loaded all the files to verify content so please hold onto your save files until at least after the results get posted just in case I need anything from you.

PLEASE DO NOT POST TIMELINES or SAVE FILES HERE as we need to make an effort to keep this thread clean of any spoilers.

If your game is missing or if you need to correct the spelling of you "name" as you want it to appear in the results table please email that info to:

quick_start@civfanatics.net

or PM me directly.

Cracker,
I feel Kinda stoopid to ask this but

Where Do I submit My QSC game? Is it the same as the finished game submit with QSC in the save game?

Also the Front page (civfanatics) link to GOTM goes to the old site. The only way I have found to the new one is throught the Forum.

You can submit your QSC game as an attachment to an email to quick_start@civfanatics.net

We will soon have the new website fully operational as it's own subdomain under civfanatics.com. (basically we are sort of getting a promotion). When the new domain name is active the main site page will be updated to link to the new webpages. FOr now you are just kinda special because you know hoe to find the "secret" location.

By what time does the QSC have to be submitted? Obviously the 20th, but is that noon GMT, 11:59 pm PST, or what? I'm going to be cutting it close (I'm only at 2800 B.C. having started last Thursday), but I think you guys will like my timeline concepts...

If the clocks say January 21st everywhere in the world, then you have missed the boat. So essentially it's a worldwide end of the day sort of deadline.

We want you to participate in the QSC but the reason for the earlier deadline of the 20th is that these submissions all require a bit more work to get them ready to publish the results and support your comparison, analysis, and discussion of the results.

So we can be flexible but the whip has gotta start crackin' as we get near to the 20th.

Thanks! I needed to know how much time I'll have to add the interesting tweaks to my timeline. I guess I have to aim for completing the game on Sunday, and tweak the timeline on Monday night and submit before going to bed. Going to be tight!

I understand all that goes into the analysis, I just wanted to put together a schedule so I can submit on time and also get sleep :o

NOTE: we have two timelines that came in labeled with filenames of only "timeline.txt" and "timeline.doc" and these accidently got seperated in the receiving proces because the players did not put their names anywhere on or in the files. One file contains city names like "Jerusalem, Ra’anana, and Kfar Sava" the other file opens their timeline with the following quote:

"4000 BC: Scout ascends hill directly to the east. The coast seems a mere 4 tiles away. There is another river to the NE. Settler moves one tile NW.

If either of these files belong to you please contact cracker at quick_start@civfanatics.net so we can make sure "your name gets on your homework.

Also just a reminder that any QSC submissions for Gotm15-Russia must be received by Monday, January 20th.

Is it just me or have the number of participants exploded this time around?

No, you're totally right.
cracker reckoned there could be as much as 40 submissions this month, but that could be even more !

I just sent my submission, it was a real bummer as I could not find my Timeline anymore...that is why I waited so long. Will just have to do without.

I just resend my 1000bc file

Ronald

As this is my first GOTM I may be confused. The page describing the GOTM stated that submissions were due before February 2nd. I've planned for that, and there's no way I can send in my "finished" game today.

http://www.civfanatics.net/~gotm/games/gotm15_russia.htm

I'm at 1645 AD right now. The game isn't in doubt, but I'm a long way away from being done.

What did I miss?

More importantly, do I just submit where I'm at now?

Thanks,

PattonTwo

Patton Two,

Don't panic, this message thread is for the Quick Start Challenge option of Gotm15 and that is why the thread is titled "Qsc15 - submissions ...".

You can find more information on the QSC play option at:

http://www.civfanatics.com/doc/civ3/cracker/quik_start/index.htm

These games pull out a save file from bc1000 and include a timeline to help discussion of the early game play.

-----------------------------------------

You still have until February 2nd to complete the play of Gotm15 just as advertised. The "Last Call" at this time only applies to all the players who want to be included in the QSC analysis.

Cracker, I resubmitted about 7 hours ago, did you ever get my second attempt?

EDIT: Cool! I do prefer that the name be all capitalized (don't need to fix it here, but it would be nice on the final results). I think it is great that you put in all this work for us, cracker! :goodjob:
