Question about cities producing wealth

I do not know for sure, but I would assume so. Though I would not suggest doing that. A cleared forest would only give you one gold.

Well, actually 1.2 gold (you get one gold for every 8 shields, and a forest gives 10 shields).

Thanks, I didn't realize that one gold per eight shields was the rate. You're right it doesn't seem worth it.

After Economics it's 1 gold per 4 shields, still not worth cutting forest for 2 gold only though. Better to wait and speed up factory or hospital.

EDIT: all above is of course true only if forests give bonus to wealth production which I suppose doesn't work. In both situations, however, it's complete waste.

i believe that ainwood is correct.

the only thing I base that on is that, as when a forest is harvested while a wonder is produced, there is no message about "forest harvested" when a city is building wealth.

forests cut down in a wonder building city do ot add to the shelds. so dont do it, it will actually slow down production of a wonder if someone is working that tile.
