Yes they did. Not to worry; I (and countless others) will make a new one, as soon as they release the proper tool(s) for it (you can already sort of do it, but no way will I settle for the wiggly borders from the strategic view...).
Oh another quick map question, read somewhere that large and huge maps are actually smaller in Civ 6 than they were in Civ 5, know if this is true? I tend to play the large and huge maps the most for more expansion fun
I heard maps were supposed to be bigger due to the unstacking of cities.
I'm sad about there being no Earth map, hopefully it will be in soon. I know countries like England and Japan are hard to represent, but there should still be an Earth map.
I checked benchmark with GTX 1070 + i7-4790k for Ultra settings 1080p and it was mostly +60 - 120/130 fps but sometimes it drops below 60 or even 50... I wonder what will happen on hudge maps.
If I recall properly it wasn't in Civ V's release version either.
It's quite unfortunate, as its the map I always use (well Earth or Terra types), but I'm confident they will eventually add it in a DLC. In any case as soon as Firaxis releases the map tools I'll probably create one.
