Question about multiplayer cheating

When you create the game it has an option for no cheating. I want that on, but when I turn it on, the ~ button won't bring down the console and none of the debug cheats work. Any help?

So you are asking why you can't cheat if you click "no cheating"?

I have read on other posts that it is not possible to have mods (including graphical ones) in multiplayer games. I don't know what the "no cheat" option gives more, except problems with fat partitions! :-(

I don't want to use mods, just use the cheats you can use when you edit the INI file. Like SHIFT or CTRL + 4 to give you 1k in gold. It works good in sP, but I can't get it to work on MP. And I don't want to cheat on someone elses server, I just want it for when me and my dad play on lan. Nothing better than lots o' cash!

The no cheat option is for single play, it disables all the debug and worldbuilder options.

In multiplayer, cheating is already prohibited.

Just a note: DO NOT CHECK "NO CHEATING" IN MULTIPLAYER. This option has no affect on the actual game, but apparently causes some sort of bug in 1.52.
