I don't currently have a computer I can run Civ on so can't check things for myself unfortunately.

Is anyone able to remind me or check for me whether it is possible to switch off the negative affects of nukes. Ie. bad reputation with others and most importantly global warming. Are there others? I haven't played with Nukes much on account of hardly every reaching the tech for them without starting a new game :/

Hey nick I'm gonna talk about my own personal experience:

1-Bad reputation might be hard coded. I never knew of a way to change this.

2-Global warming can be disabled but in a more tricky way. You just have to go to each terrain type and disable the result from global warming. This effectively negates the effect.

3-For disabling war I guess make a hidden nationality nuke.

That's all I know. I hope it helps.

Theov I don't know if I've missed anything but I cannot replicate what you are talking about. On that scenario I linked I am able to fire an ICBM with Hidden nationality to the enemy city without declaring war. War is not declared but they become furious.

Are you sure this is on conquests 1.22?

Usually, HN units of the human cannot attack cities without declaring war, but the AI can. I have seen this in CCM.

I talked too soon to talk about nukes, I was at least talking about units.

Nukes you can fire at a friendly tribe, not triggering war, but they do become furious if you hit within their culture or a unit.

I have hidden nationality kings generated in the capital every 92 turns that can be upgraded to terrorists/spies and such through the 4 eras, the AI terrorist can attack a city and not start a war; however, my terrorists can not attack a city without starting a war.

I play thousand turn games so each civ can only have a max of 10 HN units per game.

I did this because I found that the AI was taking advantage building large numbers of HN units and could attack cities without war and I couldn't.

I also learned that you should not build immobile HN units, read section number 5 on this link. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=434753

Wow Pounder 1000 turns. That's some epic game. Usually I play and become discouraged after turns begin to take 5-10 minutes after ending my turn. That's when I decide its a good idea to nuke as many metros as I can to clear units, but the I lose interest as it becomes obvious I will win.
