Question about pop rush

I have a question about pop rushing units. How does this effect the overall happiness of the town? I only ask this because I had a game where I acquired several Russian towns that I know were abused to death by the ai pop rushing units. I totally eliminated the Russian and I took control of them. I could barely keep these cities in order even at size three they were going beserk. It was warlord diff so it wasnt pop size causing it. Had plenty of lux's for them too. So was the pop rushing causing the unhappiness?

Yep. Every time you pop rush, you make one citizen unhappy for 20 turns, I think it is. This carries over even if a city is captured.

If you click on an unhappy citizen they'll say something like "we cannot forget the cruel oppression borne down upon us." That means they're suffering unhappiness from pop rush.
