Question about Ryoga's Christian Schisms mod...

Does anyone know if Ryoga is on these forums it'd be good to get in touch

Basically i love his Christian Schisms mod but was wondering if he or anyone else had any plans to do the same for Islam - there are one or two civs now which would be Shi'ite Muslim and even more which would be Sunni but right now they both go for Islam.

Any ideas anyone? I'm sure Ryoga would do something like this as its no different really to the one he's already made. Anyone perhaps know if he's a member here?

The reason he did the Christian Schisms mod is because there were already the font icons ingame for the religion from the Into the Rennaisance mod, so I don't think he'd do an Islam one yet, despite the fact that it's a great idea

i've helped out on a mod before if anyone takes this on I'd sort out some icons no problem

I wasn't aware of that though. Thanks for the support, hopefullly some more religion mods will start coming out soon - i'm gettin kinda tired of the same ones over & over. Plus I'm sick of seeing countries like Netherlands being Buddhists lol

Christian Schisms is a great mod - seems Ryoga's got some pretty good mods out

I'd suggest you check out Tomatekh's mods, he's got a historical religions mod adding lots more religions, specifically region based ones for certain civs like Greece and Egypt

thanks man that looks brill!! i saw it once before but i wrongly assumed it replaced the vanilla religions, but it says it doesn't ill check one this out for sure thanks

I have a similar request to splitting up Islam... can someone please add Coptic Christianity to the Christian schism's mod. The reason is, if you play without the schisms, Ethiopia has a logical religious preference (Christianity), but once you split them up Ethiopia suddenly has no preferred religion in the game as they aren't Catholic, Protestant, or Eastern Orthodox. (Or at least add a more general Oriental Orthodox faction).

As for the Islamic factions, Sunni can keep the default Islam icon, Shia can use the Zulfiqar for an icon. I don't know what you'd use for Suffi or for Ibadi.

The next update of my "Historical Religions + Schisms" version of my mod (which can be found here, not on the workshop) will include Oriental Orthodoxy for Ethiopia (in addition to Protestantism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Roman Catholic) as well as split Islam into Shia and Sunni. If you guys can find good icons for Sufi and Ibadi (or Khārij&#299 I will include those as well (and also make a separate Islam Schisms mod). Also, for Sufi, I mean a symbol other than the winged heart, or at least that specific design. As that's the symbol for Universal Sufism, a Western organization formed in 1910 that's not really reflective of traditional Islam or Sufism.
