yes you are right, now I use same way, give faith or culture points, then purchase units or policies through. I got IGE 3 days ago and took some time to figure why my scripts weren't working inside. As I trust less my recent civ modding skills than IGE I was sure it was my fault, but after trying the other way, I figured out.

Funny that I also released a IGE (trainer) for Heroes 3 game, allowing similar things, like changing every aspect in the game on the fly.
