Hey,

I have a question about something that always append in all "Play Now" and multiplayer games.

Is that normal that tundra spawn in my border ?

Thanks :)

Was this just after a 'cold winter' event, or maybe the deepening?
The deepening ritual cast by the illians usually comes much later than 99 turns so it's likely that the issue is due to the former rather than the latter. If it's due to the event then the terrain should revert back to normal in about 10-15 turns I think?

If you hover over the terrain type then it should state that the terrain reverts to whatever it was before in x amount of turns. This may require going forward a turn to see this though, not sure if this comes into effect the same turn that the event is applied.

The deepening is a permanent climate change for the tile however (I think..) so that tile won't revert back if its due to that. You should have a notification in the event log if the deepening is completed though.

The event before that effect is the "Bear constallation has moved into prominence". I don"t know if this is normal or not but it's permanent and no deepening ritual in the journal.

That's right, that was the event I was talking about before, couldnt remember the name:lol:. Just tested it out and it is permanent as you said. Not sure if this is intentional, I'm sure the opposite warming event constallation actually reverts back after a while. Will quickly test it to make sure..

I think the hot summer (creating desert tiles) is also permanent actually.

Havn't actually got the event yet, but I looked at the python file for the two events and they've got the same looking setup so I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case. I'd suggest that the change should be made temporary, this has the potential to be a real pain in the ass if if hits you early. Deepening should remain permanent however, since civs usually have the tools to deal with it at the point at which the deepening is usually completed. Unfortunately I have no idea how to do this or even if this is possible :crazyeye:
