hey, so certain civs (traits?) make certain wonders easier to build (take less shields?) right? So, could someone tell me or show a link that correlates all the wonders to the traits (or civs?) thanks a lot for your help.

on a totally different note, is there a thread or article on the Conquests offical scenarios, where people discuss strategies and stuff involved with those scenarios?

thanks

Nope. All tribes take the same time for great and small wonders. Although, some tribes can build city improvements which produce culture such as a cathedral and temple if religious, or library, university, and research lab if scientifc.

shnishni you may be confused with the AI. At levels above Regent, the AI gets bonus, which translates into cheaper wonders. Traits effect some structure a Spoonwood mentioned, or should I say Doug Lefelhocz? Things like Military can make barracks at a discount.

Most of the Scenarios have a thread about them, just need to find the one you want and see if it is useful to you.

The forum name will read Spoonwood from now on vmxa, but you may call me whatever you like :)

Well I was looking at a forum and it dawned on me that I did not see any of his threads. I looked around and found the name and opened the thread and did not find his name.

I found Spoonwood. I then backed up and clicked on the Doug name and it took me to Spoonwood, so the were the same person. I don't know why that one post did not change.

They merged both accounts into the Spoonwood account, as I asked :) Oh... I see. I searched my name and found that some of the points where people quoted me in the past said "Doug.Lefelhocz". I doubt they can (or should for that matter) change that.

Very clever. I saw in another thread that you are looking for a job - have you ever considered being a 'private eye'? :)

We can, but generally we don't.

I've known Spoonwood was Doug because Doug disappeared and Spoonwood showed up talking a lot about 20k, mass regicide, and the Great Library. ;)

In Civ IV, certain traits make it easier to build wonders.

And, in Civ III, the industrious trait will add an extra shield at high populations, and the agri trait allows you to have an extra hill in your radius, and of course, the scientific trait makes getting SGL's easier.

One more point to consider shnishni is that when a civ builds a wonder that has one of the same traits (wonders do "have" traits which may be what is confusing you) pertaining to the civ they will trigger a Golden Age.

ie. The Egyptians (industrious, religious) build the Pyramids (industrious, religious, agricultural) they will get a Golden Age (incidentally these two share two traits which is not necessary to trigger the GA).
