I have just gathered all the necessary parts for the shapeship to colonize Alpha Centauri. However, I don't know how to get to the interface to launch it. It used to come up automatically, but now it doesn't. Does anyone know how to launch the colonizing ship?

When you build the final part, it launches. If it doesn't launch, then another victory condition has been met. Once any victory condition is met, the others (while you can still strive towards it) won't make any difference.

The one a lot of people miss is the time condition - you can't launch a space ship after 2050.

Somewhere along the line my SS launch animation broke. I wound up referencing a bogus file so it wouldn't crash out.

Bottom right of the screen, where the little window with unit info and whatnot is. ON the side of that there are a bunch of smaller boxes with one letter: D,E,P,V,S
Those stand for Diplomacy, Espionage, PalaceView, Victory, Spaceship.
Click the V, you'll see current victory conditions.
Click the S, you'll get your spaceship screen with the launch button.
