question. Space race problems

I have won the game by cultural victory and have opted to continue playing. I have now reseached space flight and have completed the appolo program small wonder. But I am unable to build the components on the space ship! they do not even appear on the production list in cities .When I access the spaceship screen and click on one of the parts i should be able to build a message box appears saying "no cities can build"! I have plenty of aluminium and other resources also. Please reply cos its bugging me. Thanx guys.

OK, i haven't been in this situation, but have you got the techs that are required for each component?

Also, I don't think you can launch the spaceship after you have achieved victory by some other means. You might not even be able to build it at all, but i'm not sure here.

I think bobgote is right. Once you win, i don't think the game will let you build a spaceship.

You can build the SS after you win the game, and launch it, but it doesn't show the cool movie.

As bobgote said, I think your problem is that you don't have the techs.

but the components arent even apearing on the production list warlord.i have all the required techs except amphibious warfare at the moment. do i need nuclear power as i dont have that yet? thanx guys.

Amphibious War? You don't need that to build the SS!

But I do think you need Nuke Power. Check the civilopedia to see what techs you need to build SS parts.

the space race techs are the branches...
ecology--->synthentic fibers
fission-->satellites, superconductor
computers-->laser

i know i dont need amphibiuos warfare (was just telling u what techs i have). the civlopedia says nuthing of nuclear power but ill research it next. Has anybody else encounter a bug where the tech tree at the science advisor goes all weird.The lines are all muddled up and dont match up to any of the techs. Thnx again for your time guys.

Ya. But that was when I changed the rules a bit on a map I made.
