I don't know whether it's a base feature for FfH II, or something that was added into FF and FF+ and requires enabling or what, but I just want to know if it's something easily modified or downloaded to get my Score Display to look less like my attachment and more like this.

I don't understand why it doesn't show it since it tells me that they've become Herne's Realm of Peace and I think they're rather quaint.

That was an implementation that was available in FF a while back, but they broke it and haven't figured out yet why exactly it got broken yet. It is possible you might get this effect playing Wild Mana, as the BUG mod may have that or a similar feature implemeneted. Otherwise, its just wait till the FF team gets around to fixing it, if they ever do.
