Quick armies question

How many armies can you have at one time? If you have an army, can you generate a leader, or do you have to wait for the army to die first?

1 army for every 4 cities. And leaders cannot be generated only when there is a leader running around - not an army.

Having an army does not preclude you getting a leader.

Jeus guys, that was quick, thanks for the help. It made sense, however I get few leaders, so haven't had the prob yet (Hoping to change this).

I have always been under the assumption that it was 1 army for every 5 cities.
