Quick Combat strangeness

Ok, I've attempted to reduce the possible conflicts and isolate this mod as much as I know how following the tips in this http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=10901714#post10901714 post.

The last version I that works properly on both my laptop and my pc was 1.08. Normally I use a bunch of mods in conjunction with this one and I understand that this can cause conflicts. I have now isolated this mod in the mod folder and deleted both the cache and moduserdata folders.

The first odd thing I notice is that combat is stuck on quick combat. All combat works as if the quick option is on when it is not. There has also been issues later in the game with build lists being messed up but I think you have it stated as a fix for this or the last version....I know 1.10 was having the problem. I have not confirmed that issue being resolved in my games, however, as I have not played into the game that far in this version.

Great work on this mod. I find the game virtually unplayable without it. Your time and effort is very much appreciated.

after a bit more thinking...1.09 was the last properly working version and the building problem is not the same as the one stated as fixed...again, I have not confirmed it with a clean mods folder
 
The Unofficial Patch automatically enables quick combat. This was a change implemented recently because many players prefer it, but checking the box in the game setup window breaks the mod (ie, it was the lesser of two evils). You can disable it by following the instructions in this post. You can also find any and all information about VEM/UP at the website.
