The gaians, not because i admire its ideology, but because its propably the only one where i can subvert and gain a measure of power. Morgan industries sounds like a place where you can get to be a nice little wage slave if you aren't a CEO.

actually morgan industries is just like the capitalist world.

if there are ppw living there, if i CAN live here, no prob! XD

seriously, if there were an anarch faction, i'd be there

Gaians, I believe it's mentinoed their leader dances in the nude.

More likely, thoguh I've oly played the first game so I have no idea about the other races, Pirates sonuds fun but maybe a little too dangerous, Spartans then go to university.

The Free Drones. The chance to establish a new worker's society away from the failures of Earth? Where do I sign?

If I joined the Gaians, I'm afraid I'd be jailed for pissing behind a tree or something...

Wouldn't that count as adding vital minerals and phosphorus to the soil and thereby helping the tree grow?

Depends on wether or not that is a popular tree for dancing around or hugging.

I'd go with the Consiousness. (I'm actually in favor of using cybernetic implants to enhance our abilities :))

Free sharing of information and technology. Sounds like a laid back, cozy and fun place to live. It would be capitalism without copyright/patent rights or industrial secrets, communism with personal freedom.
I'd have to go with those guys :)

Gaians. University and Peacekeepers are also not bad choices. It's also especially important to remember that the Unity was launched because humans were wiping out life on Earth (and, if the Usurpers complete the Ascent, your forces return to Earth to find a ruined and dead world in the epilogue).

Also, you can't choose any of the new factions; they formed after Planetfall (well, except the Progenitors, who obviously weren't on the Unity).

Aki: Former Peacekeeper Talent, killed in battle with Spartans, merged with a University sentience experiment
Roze: Former leader of Morganite intelligence-gathering
Domai: Former Drone in the Human Hive, rebelled
Cha Dawn: Foundling discovered by Gaian empaths
Svensgaard: Rogue Spartan ship captain

Before you ask, it's all in the written summary of the SMAX plotline.

Bright day
I would trz to get aboard any pod, but Yang's. Had I ended at Morgan or Godwinsson I would become the UN Refugee first chance I get, I think. With Zakharov or Skye I would prolly not have that hard time. If I end with Santiago, then Svensgaard, if I don't manage that I will take my chances as UN Refugee...

Gaians, definately, if nothing more than the power that controlling Planet's ecosystem infers. Not too mention it's always good to be on good terms with a sentient planet.

Spartans.

On a new, empty planet filled with mind-worms and some horrible people with mental ideologies I want to be part of a faction that looks to individualism and has a keen eye of strong lifelines for the race. That means that people would I imagine be on ranch-esq establishments, individually independent and contributing specialist resources and manpower to the whole. If one settlement is lost, it won't seriously impact on the rest and thus can resist better from a fall.

Morgan!!! YAAAAAAy capitalism!

I'd go with the pirates... then I wouldn't have to quit my day job!
Experience both in the real world and in the game teaches us that control of seaborne traffic ultimately leads to control of the land.
