We've completed our goal with the discovery of Military Tradition.

Now we need to choose a path and a velocity. The path discussion is in the other thread; this thread is about "how fast do we research".

options:
1 - ASAP
2 - FAST
3 - Get techs in a certain amount of turns (example: every 9 turns)
4 - slow
5 - 1 scientist research
6 - not at all.
 
I suggest a moderate research pace. Option #3, although not necessarily 9 turns/tech. Once we reach our ultimate goal (Steam Power), I'd shut off research entirely.
 
It depends upon our needs. I would prefer ASAP but without negative GPT. But if there was a need for it, we could slow down research to get some money in the bank, for builing culture quicker or upgrading units.
