Hey guys
I've been playing around with a planet generator script, using maps that are approximately 1.7x the height and width of a huge map (generating ~3x the amount of space a huge map possesses).
I always play with raging barbarians and barbarian world for harsh realism. However, I experienced impossible odds on a game I played recently.
By around turn 300 stacks of barbarians (lizard men, orcs, goblins) of 20-30 in size turned up at my borders and proceeded to consume my empire. I was wondering how this is possible? Are these organised stacks a result of the clan casting for the horde and victimising me, or does the barbarian faction actually sit back and stack its troops.
In the past ive usually experienced a steady (but generally non-stacked) flow of barbarians. I was wondering whether it is sensible for me to turn off raging barbarians on such huge 33 civ maps, or whether I should be leaving out the two clan of embers dudes so that they can't crush any player at will with their world spell...?
Thanks guys
Al
