I added some of the art files which you forget to include. Maybe you can try uploading to filegone again. And be patient as 16 meg takes a while to upload.

it is highly likely related to a incorrect art define reference somewhere, judging by the nature of the bug. I will have time to look into it later.(Why do I always end up spending my time debbuging lately

The only art_define thing that got altered was in the civilizations I think. That was one of the mini-updates JBG did earlier. I'll copy over my old xml/art folder into a new d/l and see what happens. Can't hurt.

JBG - There has to be something that got placed into your Custom Assets at some point and didn't make it to the download. It isn't working for anyone else! Remember that last night's download from matthewv accidently had Custom Assets in the folder. Could that have done anything? I'm grasping at straws, but this is maddening.

Nope. I don't have a customAssets folder. The file I sent to Filegone was the same file I have on my comp.
*sigh* I can do it again if you like. I'll make a new RAR and post it to filegone. But I repeat, nowhere in the XML code, file layout, directory layout, art files, or ANYWHERE (having checked) is there any fault I can detect. I'll post a new RAR, but on the condition I do it tomorrow morning. I've stayed up past midnight and I will need to sleep sometime soon.

Okay, I know what the problem is for sure now(you were on the right track woodelf). I hope to have a patch and a full working version up in the next hour.
I don't know if it's been suggested before (I don't have enough time to read 57 pages) but, might it be possible to create a game type where, you start off normally (i.e. like without a mod) and once you research a certain tech, or build a certain wonder, then you unlock a second portion of the map, which is generated with whatever script you use to create lunar maps.
The two halves of the map are separated by impassable terrain (not necessarily peaks, but if that's what it takes to stop units from crossing...), and only through The SPace Elevator, or the Electromagnetic Railgun can units go to the moon. Then, you found a colony on the moon, and you can build an empire there too.
My inspiration for this was Empire Earth's expansion pack, which allowed you to have space travel and colonisation of other planets by juxtaposing land and space (which was impassable to all but space units). I hope that this isn't too hard to implement, because I think it might make things very authentic, because if you're the governemnt and you make a colony on the moon, you odn't immediately relinquish control to someone else.
