Random AI thoughts from FireTuner Autoplays

I was asking in the context of what I wanted to achieve. The AI gets the settlers and units but before turn 10 it doesn't use them and then at turn 10 all AI start the operation according to the logs

I will say, this has not been an issue for me because I usually test in middle speed. I tested on online today, and it drove me crazy.

That stuff should be time dependent on the speed, but it isn't.
 
You are both correct, and incorrect.

It's difficult to discuss this stuff, because you are right, there are logic issues there, but there's also behavior tree issues.

Those aren't low hanging fruit. It's really hard work. Next up is the hard work of the city attack behavior trees.

Many people were having problems with loading saved games. I've tested it and it works, but it requires you remove any previous version of the mod before you copy it in so we are sure you have these clean files with no other references.

You can have other mods, I just mean remove any previous version of this mod.

 
Hey Notque, in the latest version I notice the AI moving units a bit more aimlessly than before. Eg. An archer will move forward towards an enemy melee unit instead of shooting it from far away. Could be a side effect of some changes.

Overall, the AI is a million times better at settling cities. But the tactical AI may have become slightly worse from what I've seen in 1 game (small sample size).

I am working on Operational movements now. I don't know if your example is a tactical or operational move. I am going to finish the operational movement, and then I'll worry about specific bug instances.

A lot is broken here.
 
If you new to modding , like me, creating a new civ, like me, I recommend doing some auto plays to make sure the AI getting close to the results you want.
