Random People Joining My Game

Hey guys,

Is there anyway I can stop people joining my game on Gamespy? I was playing a game with my brother on LAN, but now he's on the other side of the world!

We can play fine on Gamespy, but random people join and take control of the AI players. Is there any way we can stop this?

just dont choose the option take over AI. This option is in the multiplayer tab when u start a new game.

That'll do the trick for a new game, but is there a way to change it for our current game? We are very close to the end so we don't want to abandon it.

Yes don't use the lobby, host the save via directIP, and then your game will not show in the lobby list and random players won't be able to join it.

Tried that first but unfortunately it doesn't work for us. I think it's a router firewall issue, but it will be more trouble than it's worth to help him remotely.

Well the other solution is to password protect the game, that way they can't join it without knowing the pw.

How can you do that for a game we've already got a save for mate?

have u tried hamachi yet?
it solves a lot of firewall router problems.
I used it a long time ago for a MP game and it worked very well.
Its worth a try.
